It’s a new day for 8am LawPay.
We’re proud to share an exciting new chapter in our story. Our owner and operator, AffiniPay, has rebranded to 8am. With this change, we’re building a more connected and intuitive experience for professionals like you.
8am is now the unified brand behind the industry’s most trusted legal, accounting, and client-focused professional services solutions, bringing together practice management, payments, and financial tools into one ecosystem.
The solutions you know and love haven’t changed, they simply have a new name and a refreshed look. Each product keeps its core functionality, now with an updated visual identity and type style that ties it to the larger 8am brand.
Below, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about the rebrand and what it means for you and your firm.
What happened to AffiniPay?
AffiniPay is now 8am. We’ve rebranded to bring all our solutions together under a single name, 8am, built for professionals like you.
Was AffiniPay acquired?
No. This is not a sale or merger. It’s a strategic evolution to better reflect who we are today.
Has the leadership team changed?
Not at all. Our leadership team remains the same, with the same mission to help professionals thrive.
Why did AffiniPay rebrand?
We’ve grown far beyond payments. Today, we support legal professionals, accountants, associations, and healthcare providers through a suite of integrated software and payment solutions, including 8am LawPay for legal payments and financial management, 8am MyCase for legal practice management, 8am CasePeer for personal injury, 8am DocketWise for immigration, and 8am CPACharge for accountants.
It was time for a unified brand that reflects who we are today, and where we’re headed. 8am captures our energy, optimism, and belief in fresh starts, for you and your business.
Why now?
Our brand needed to catch up to the company we’ve become. We’re no longer just a payments provider, we’re a professional business platform, powering every part of the professional journey, from client meeting to final invoice. A single brand makes it easier to understand what we offer and to keep building together.
What’s changing?
You’ll see updates to our name, logo, colors, website, solution names and interfaces, visual design, and other materials. We also updated our positioning: 8am is a professional business platform, products are now solutions, and features are referred to as tools. But the solutions you trust, and the people behind them, remain the same.
What’s staying the same?
Everything you already rely on. Your account, pricing, logins, support team, and the solutions you love, none of that is changing. Our commitment to you is stronger than ever.
What does this mean for 8am AffiniPay?
All of our solutions are now part of the 8am family. You’ll see refreshed logos and branding, but functionality for 8am LawPay remains the same.
Here’s how all of our solution names are evolving:
LawPay → 8am LawPay
MyCase → 8am MyCase
Docketwise → 8am DocketWise
CASEpeer → 8am CasePeer
CPACharge → 8am CPACharge
AffiniPay for Associations → 8am AffiniPay
ClientPay → 8am ClientPay
MedPay → 8am MedPay
Why is there a ™ next to 8am?
We have filed trademark applications for the 8am name and logo in the US and Canada. For this reason, you’ll see ™ on the first and/or most prominent mention of “8am” in marketing or external materials.
Will this affect my current account?
No. Our login credentials, subscriptions, billing details, and features will all remain the same. Nothing changes on your end, except the new name and fresh new look.
Do I need to take any action?
No. Your experience will remain seamless. If anything is required, we’ll let you know.
Do I now need a subscription for 8am to continue use of my account?
No. Your current subscription gives you full access, just as before.
Will my login change?
No. Your login process and credentials stay the same.
Will my mobile app look different?
Not initially. Apps will maintain their current design, icons, and functionality. Visual updates will come in a future release.
How will I hear about future updates?
We’ll keep you informed through email, our website, and in-app notifications. For the quickest answers to your questions, feel free to use the chat AI Assistant, Margo, for real-time assistance. You can also reach out to our support team at any time.
Where can I learn more about the new brand?
We’ve created a dedicated brand story page that shares who we are and what we stand for. You can also visit our newsroom for press materials, leadership messages, videos, and other valuable resources.
Will your email addresses change?
Yes. You’ll start seeing emails from @8am.com. Emails sent to our old domains will still reach us during the transition.
Is my data still secure?
Yes. Our rebrand does not affect how we store, protect, or manage your data. Security and privacy remain top priorities
Are you still the same legal entity?
Yes. We’ve changed our legal name to 8am, LLC, but our entity and contracts remain the same. All existing agreements are still valid and don’t need to be updated or amended.
Who can I contact with questions or concerns?
Our support team is here to help:
Email: [email protected]
Phone: 844-952-0688
Chat: Available through our website or your account
Will this rebrand impact how I’m billed or invoiced?
No. All billing and invoicing will remain exactly as it is today. You’ll see our new name and branding reflected, but your payment methods, schedules, and terms won’t change.
Will support contacts or hours change?
No. You’ll continue to get the same reliable support from the same people, during the same hours.
How does the new brand benefit me?
The rebrand unites all our solutions under one name, making it easier to navigate, integrate, and grow with us, whether you use one solution or several. You’ll also benefit from greater innovation, clearer communication, and stronger connections across products.
Will I need to update my bookmarks or saved links
No. Old links will automatically redirect to the new ones.
Is this just a visual change, or are there new features coming?
While this is primarily a brand evolution, it also aligns with major product innovations already underway. You can expect continued enhancements, deeper integrations, and tools designed to help you accomplish more with less effort.
How will this affect my clients?
It won’t. Your clients will continue to interact with your firm in the same way, whether they’re paying invoices, signing documents, or accessing case information. Over time, they may notice a refreshed interface, but the experience will remain smooth and familiar.
